Welcome to Socii. Socii Ltd (“Socii”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is an Australian not-for-profit private company. Our mission is to redistribute surplus, decentralise wealth, and empower communities through ethical technology platforms. By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use our services.

• Certain services (e.g., Dicta, Nexus) may have additional age or professional requirements.

• You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.

3. Services Covered

These Terms apply to all Socii platforms, including but not limited to:

• Munus – distributed cloud compute & storage

• Dicta/Dicta+ – document editing & AI research tools

• Vox/Shout/Cooee/Oi – communication and social platforms

• Nexus – business applications suite

• Viva – personal financial health tools

4. Not-for-Profit Nature and Redistribution

• Socii operates on a surplus redistribution model. A proportion of net surplus is reinvested or redistributed for the benefit of users and communities.

• No dividends or profits are distributed to members, directors, or shareholders beyond lawful reimbursement of expenses .

5. User Responsibilities

• You agree not to use Socii services for unlawful, harmful, or exploitative purposes.

• You will not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or misuse Socii platforms.

• You retain rights to the content you create, but grant Socii a limited licence to host, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the services.

6. Data Privacy and Sovereignty

• Socii prioritises Australian data sovereignty and minimises third-party data sharing.

• Personal data is processed according to our [Privacy Policy].

• Some services (e.g., Viva with Basiq open banking) involve regulated data handling under Australian law.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

• Some services are free; others may require paid subscriptions (e.g., Vox Artisan, Vox Studio).

• Pricing is transparent and fair, with no exploitative fees.

• Payment processing is handled through trusted providers (e.g., Stripe).

8. Community Standards

• Users must treat others with respect and comply with platform-specific community rules.

• Harassment, discrimination, and harmful misinformation are prohibited.

9. Intellectual Property

• Socii owns the intellectual property of its platforms, branding, and proprietary technology.

• Open-source contributions and community-created add-ons are governed by their respective licences.

10. Limitation of Liability

• Socii provides its services “as is” and makes no guarantee of uninterrupted access.

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Socii is not liable for damages arising from your use of the services.
