Socii Ltd (“Socii”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is an Australian not-for-profit private company dedicated to decentralising wealth, protecting user sovereignty, and redistributing surplus for the common good. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our platforms and services.
We are committed to compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and applicable open banking and financial services regulations.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to all Socii platforms, including but not limited to:
• Munus – distributed cloud compute & storage
• Dicta / Dicta+ – AI-assisted research and document tools
• Vox / Shout / Cooee / Oi – messaging and social media platforms
• Nexus – business apps suite
• Viva – personal financial health and education tools
3. Data We Collect
We only collect data that is necessary for providing our services:
• Account information: Name, email address, login credentials.
• Service usage data: Logs, preferences, settings, and device/browser details.
• Content you create: Documents, posts, messages, and media.
• Financial data (Viva only): Transaction and account information accessed securely via Basiq under the Consumer Data Right (CDR) / Open Banking Standard. Socii does not store your banking login credentials.
• Metadata: For analytics, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
• Provide, maintain, and improve Socii services.
• Personalise features and recommend relevant content.
• Notify you of updates, security alerts, and service changes.
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
• Support our not-for-profit mission by reinvesting surplus into community benefit (never through data sales).
5. Data Sovereignty & Storage
• Wherever possible, your data is stored in Australian sovereign infrastructure (e.g., Munus).
• If third-party providers outside Australia are used, we ensure they meet equivalent privacy and security protections.
6. Sharing & Disclosure
We will never sell your data.
We may share information only when:
• Required by law or regulation.
• Necessary to provide a service (e.g., payments processed via Stripe).
• You give explicit consent (e.g., enabling an integration).
• Aggregated and de-identified for research, reporting, or educational purposes.
7. Security
We implement technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, including:
• Encryption in transit and at rest.
• Access controls and monitoring.
• Regular audits and testing.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Socii platforms are not directed at children under 13. If we discover we have collected data from a child without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
